Léonie Adams studied in Moscow, was a prize winner at the Royal College of Music and a postgraduate scholar at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
She was also awarded full scholarships to the prestigious Santander Academy to study with Natalia Gutman and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi in 2006, and the TSMAF with Janos Starker in 2007.
Léonie was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and has been a concerto soloist across Europe with performances including the Schumann Concerto with the Luxembourg Philharmonia, and Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, Elgar, Dvorak and Haydn C major in the UK.
She has performed in master classes with Steven Doane, Colin Carr, Frans Helmerson and Bernard Greenhouse amongst others.
Léonie is currently based in London and has perfomed as Principal 'Cello with the British Philharmonic Orchestra and Iceni Ensemble, No. 2 with the Philharmonia and English National Opera and No.3 with the City of London Sinfonia and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
